Did you know?

The idea of Hobo days started in 1907 when SDSU was about to play Dakota Wesleyan they students were wanting a win and to raise spirits and pep everyone up, they made the ‘nightshirt parade’ where the men dressed in nightshirts and the women in sheets. They continued the tradition every homecoming until 1911 when the college administration thought it was unladylike for women to dress in sheets and parade through town, so that tradition ended and a new began. Hence the reason for hobo days.
